The Used Joins The “Downtown Rocks Concert Series” on Fremont Street

It’s 4 o’clock in the freaking morning, and I am writing this review! That is because it’s about The Used! This past weekend on Oct 10, 2026, The Used took to the 3rd Street Stage in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the final artist of Fremont Street’s “Downtown Rocks Concert Series.” A summer concert series that is free… FREE!

On the 3rd Street stage, I had positioned myself along with thousands of other concert-goers, all waiting for The Used to take the stage. Hardcore fans were there as early as 6 pm for a 9 pm show just to be as close as possible to the stage!

The opening band was Silkobra. This wasn’t the style people were expecting. “Playing dance music,” as they put it, but the crowd liked the electro vibes. While they played a short set, they did their part to keep the crowd hyped. The band continuously engaged with the audience, and the crowd liked it, dancing along and singing to their catchy hooks.

The main attraction: The Used.
Walking onto the stage, the crowd was cheering and smiling and ready to rock! The Used has been a staple in the Emo music scene since they debuted and have continuously released albums. They played the hits, and everyone sang along to all of them. If lead singer Bert McCracken wasn’t singing, the crowd was. It was just like singing in your car along to your favorite playlist. One of their most popular songs, “The Taste of Ink,” was the most memorable. As the audience sang the opening line in perfect unison, it brought a smile to Bert’s face. Getting to see your favorite band for free is just unbelievable.

For that, we have to thank the Fremont Street Experience’s “Downtown Rocks Concert Series”. These concerts have hosted big names in the music industry. Past artists include Good Charlotte, Nelly, and Hoobastank, to name a few. The Fremont Street Experience has become such an amazing experience for both locals and tourists in Las Vegas. As ticket prices for shows go up, these free concerts are deeply loved. These shows are well worth it, even though there are still fees for parking and everyone has to stand in the Las Vegas heat. Fremont Street is packed with fans every show, and we can’t wait to see who headlines next year.
